Jesus Racing driver Andrew Fisher is putting his faith into action off the racing track, sharing his experience of living in the fast paced, Yokohama V8 Ute series and Fujitsu V8 Super Car series with high school students.
In 2008 Andrew Fisher and Steve Peach from Jesus Racing addressed around 30,000 students in assemblies and presentations right across the country. Dates for 2009 are rapidly filling up, but there are still some opportunities available.
If you are interested in having Andrew Fisher come to your school with his replica race car to give a 45 minute presentation at an assembly or special event, including question time and multi media display, and where every student has an opportunity to take away a signed poster, we would welcome discussing this possibility with you.
Jesus Racing have some minimum requirements for schools engagements, listed below.
The presentation is suitable for high school students only.
Jesus Racing presents to multiple year level assemblies (e.g. Year 7 – 9) or whole school assemblies
Jesus Racing operates from an indoor venue (gym or chapel), that has multi media facilities (projector and screen) and access to power. We will provide the PA system, and can provide the projector if required.
Jesus Racing requires access for our replica race car to be on display inside the venue or outside in a high traffic area for students to look at as they enter and exit.
The time slot must lead into a recess or lunch time for students to have informal discussions with Andrew.
Jesus Racing requires written authority to be given by the Principal or Vice Principal prior to booking confirmation.
The presentation itself is based around the topic of courage and is supported by the Bible Society. There is video footage of Andrew racing followed by a fast paced professional presentation on the issue of courage and how it relates to young people. The presentation concludes by shattering young people’s common held views about Jesus, and challenging them to do their own research.
The presentation is not particularly churchy or religious, and has operated successfully in private and public schools right across Australia.
